Innovative Power Systems. The successful Systems Engineer will leverage their significant technical skill and experience to develop new electrical power systems which offer substantial benefits in weight, cost, and/or reliability over traditional approaches.


The Systems Engineer will lead the system and LRU requirements definition and the verification activity. The ability to document system and LRU requirements for innovative designs, primarily for airborne environments is required.

We are looking for high performance engineers who thrive on power system product development. It is expected within 3 months of hire, the Systems Engineer will be leading, and have primary responsibility for, the requirements definition and verification of multiple aircraft power products.

Credibility with Customers. Meet and communicate with customers to develop credibility as a leading expert in the design and certification of aircraft electrical power systems. A goal of the System Engineer will be to gain confidence and build credibility with key customers, while reinforcing Company capabilities to provide the best solution for their aircraft power needs. By providing technical assistance to customers, building key relationships, and increasing credibility, the Systems Engineer will build our reputation as the recognized industry leader of aircraft electrical power systems in our market segment.

New Technology Trade-Offs. The Systems Engineer will be knowledgeable about new technology trends in power systems and be able to make logical recommendations, based upon experience and certification rules, about the practical implementation of these technologies.

Develop a cooperative working relationship with internal engineering resources to provide technical guidance, peer reviews, technical oversight of power system designs. The Systems Engineer will successfully develop a collaborative relationship with design engineering staff at Company to provide technical guidance, mentorship, and peer reviews. Evidence of success will be assisting in the growth path of less experienced engineers and making critical impacts in major design reviews and peer reviews. In summary, growing key talent and assuring the quality of our designs are critical responsibilities of the Systems Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required, from four-year college or university and seven years minimum related experience.
Experience with DO-160 and aircraft electrical power systems is required.
Prefer experience using industry standards, such as ARP4754a and ARP4761.
