Description:
As a Senior Network Engineer, the candidate will join the team responsible for the design, implementation and continuous service improvement of the corporate data and voice network. Qualified candidate must have significant Cisco and Juniper experience along with related experience in Infrastructure/Networked environments with hardware (routers, switches, firewall, etc), network security practices, designing, planning and implementing LAN-WANs using the industry standard technologies. The candidate should drive continuous improvement and growth of the company through strong skills and experience in data network technologies; RIP, OSPF, BGP, IGRP, EIGRP, VPC, HSRP/VRRP, GLBP, DMVPN, MPLS, P2P VPN, VLAN, Trunking, Ether Channel, QoS, etc.

Candidate must be able to see projects through all stages including defining requirements, drafting and presenting technical proposals, and deploying and maintaining the best solutions. A strong commitment to technical excellence and teamwork will be required. This position will require some 24x7 on-call support rotation and off-hours maintenance work. Some travel to other company offices may be required when needs arise.

Responsibilities
•Perform analysis, design, testing, installation, documentation, implementation and support of global converged network technologies.
•Analyze and recommend contemporary and emerging technologies for deployment across the enterprise including but not limited to MPLS WAN in a dual carrier cloud, QoS policies, classifications, marking and policy mapping.
•Act as the Subject Matter Expert in IP routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, IP Multicast, MPLS
•Implement and manage fibre channel or FCoE networks
•Conduct network capacity planning and performance tuning and troubleshooting
•Perform work in design, testing, implementation, and supporting an enterprise WLAN solution
•Prepare and maintain up-to-date documentation and detailing configuration of deployed solutions
•Resolve operational issues involving routers and switches in a multi-routing infrastructure (OSPF, BGP)

Minimum Qualifications

•BA or BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience in IT with a certification, such as CCNP , CCVP or preferably, CCIE
•8+ years of experience in routing, switching, FC storage and VoIP environment
•Demonstrated proficiency with the design, provisioning and troubleshooting of LAN, WAN and FC connectivity technologies
•Comprehensive hands-on experience with security technologies such as VPN, IPS/IDS, SIEM, Sniffer, TACACS
•5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco ISR or ASR routers, Nexus switches, Catalyst 3300-6500 series switches, ASA 5500 security devices, WAN Application Acceleration
•2-3 years of experience with Juniper MX routers, EX 4200-4500 series, QFX5100 switch, and SRX security devices
•Proficient in access control list (ACLs), TCP/IP, IPSEC, VLAN, VRF, Port Security, Traffic Shaping, Priority Queuing, Class of Service (CoS) and IP routing
•Proficient in RIP, OSPF, and BGP routing protocols
•Strong working knowledge of wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wireless management, Two Factor Authentication, Certificates, VoIP, H.323, and SIP, low voltage cabling, fiber transceivers
•Strong analytical and organizational skills, including attention to detail
•Ability to multi-task, prioritizing multiple objectives and initiatives
•Solid verbal and written communications skills
•A team player with strong work ethics and professional demeanor
•Able to lift 25 to 50 pounds

Desired Qualifications

•Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls, Brocade, Juniper and Cisco Switches as well as Avaya Phone System a plus
