Description:
Assist Engineers and conducts activities in support of Picnic food automation projects.

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs tasks as directed based on written or verbal direction
• Learns how to run equipment, functions and procedures and is able to use them with minimal direction
• Assembles necessary equipment and ingredients for experiments/tests and cleans up afterwards
• Conducts assigned experiments/test from clear direction independently
• Gathers, records data, observations and summary of experiments/tests and organizes them in the appropriate folders
• Prepares samples for product reviews
• Orders ingredients and maintains inventory
• Collects and analyzes samples from incoming ingredients for physical properties related but not limited to bulk density, size/shape, flowability, maximum piece size and Bostwick
• Effectively manages requests and tasks from various engineers
• Tracks and purchases future customer products and ingredients for ingredient characterization testing and product evaluation

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High School diploma or college student with demonstrated math, science and laboratory skills and aptitudes through successful completion of HS level courses including Algebra and Geometry plus 2 years of experience in pizza food service/restaurant industry as a supervisor or 1-year as a manager
• Working knowledge of temperature, weights and measures and associated instruments
• Proficient use of calculator, keyboarding and data entry
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Basic Excel, Word and Slack
• Knowledge, understanding and application of means, standard deviation and percentages
